The Perrone-Sizer Institute for Creative Leadership (PSi) is the Center for Artistry and Scholarship’s year-long certificate program for emerging leaders seeking to weave education, creative, and community-based resources to reshape schools, be champions for equity, and transform the lives of youth and families.

PSi’s 2017-2018 cohort have reached their mid-year point and identified key questions and challenges arising out of their Capstone Projects—collaborations each of them is developing between a community-based organization and their current workplace to address a common goal.
The purpose of the Capstone Consultancy Day is to give students the opportunity to present and—with the help of mentors and guests like you—explore their point of inquiry. Using a structured protocol, both students and guests will engage in facilitated discussions about the students' work, and students will have the opportunity to think more expansively and deeply about the issues they have identified. Some of their questions include:
What is the value of assessing (and grading) behavior in the arts classroom? Is behavior an essential skill, a tool for classroom management, or something else?
How can a partnership between a community-based organization and an elementary school cultivate authentic parent-led kindergarten readiness?
How do we provide resources to teachers and construct a process so that teachers are able to take on the work of Race & Equity and SEL, and it becomes their own iterative process?
What biases exist when we talk about "social responsibility" and how it is taught?
